Pedal Pull Rules
    1.        Contest is for boys and girls age 4-12.  

   2.        The child will enter the age class that he/she is that day.

   3.        Whoever can pull the weighted sled the greatest distance             
                in their age group is the winner for that age group.

   4.        Each participant must have a Parent or Guardian signature.

   5.        Length of pull is measured at the point forward motion stops.

   6.        1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age group may                 
               advance to North Dakota State Pedal Tractor Pull.

   7.        All equipment will be furnished.

   8.        Participants cannot qualify for State competition more than       
               once.

   9.        Pedal tractors will be assigned per age group, not per child.

   10.       Seat settings will be done per age group, not per child.

   11.        Participants must sit on the seat at all times, must keep              
                front end on the ground, feet must remain on pedals, hands         
                on the steering wheel or the pull will be stopped.  No unsafe        
                operation or jerking will be allowed.

   12.       Pull officials have the option to make weight adjustments on      
                equipment after five contestants.  The pull official may make      
                additional adjustments during the next five contestants if            
                needed.  Those contestants will re-pull at the end of the age         
                group.
